Membership

The NIOMH offers three distinct types of membership to accommodate varying levels of involvement and dedication. The available membership categories are detailed below:

A. Contributor Membership

A Contributor Membership is officially awarded to individuals who have demonstrated active engagement in NIOMH activities for a minimum of six consecutive months and express a dedicated intent to sustain their contributions moving forward. In recognition of their valuable support to the ongoing activities of the organization, Contributor Members are completely exempt from all membership fees.

B. General Membership

Any individual meeting the criteria specified in the official application form may apply for General Membership.

• Financial Terms: Upon approval, the applicant must pay a one-time entry fee of NRs. 10,000. To maintain active status, members must pay an annual renewal fee of NRs. 1,000.

• Voting Rights at the Annual General Meeting (AGM): Every active General Member in good standing (with up to date annual renewals) holds full voting rights. They are entitled to cast one vote during the AGM for the election of the Executive Committee and officers.

• Constitutional Amendments: General Members serve as a core legislative body of the institute. They possess the right to vote on proposed amendments, alterations, or revisions to the NIOMH Constitution or bylaws. 

C. Lifetime Membership

Any individual eligible for General Membership may opt to apply for a Lifetime Membership, securing a permanent, non-expiring status within the organization.

• Financial Terms: Applicants must pay a one-time, non-refundable lifetime entry fee of Rs. 100,000. Lifetime Membership does not require annual renewal fees. However, to remain classified as an "Active Lifetime Member" for quorum and notification purposes, the member must update their contact information and confirm their active status with the institute annually.

• Identical Voting Rights: Lifetime Members possess the exact same democratic governance rights as General Members, including casting votes for Executive Committee elections and voting on constitutional amendments.
